Is the entire Bible truly the word of GOD?
The Bible is a masterpiece of artistic works. All of the works are
religiously inspired. I believe that all of it conforms to the scholarly
experts rules of what is true as best as they know. The word of
God cannot be destroyed or changed. So yes the Bible does contains
the Word as sent by the prophets. The problem is that so many people
are blinded by their desires of this world that they cannot see
it. Satan, Ibis... was given the permission from God to lead man
astray from Gods way for a period of time after he refused to obey
Gods command to bow before Adam. He is always whispering little
things into men's ears to lead him away from the true path of God.
If you look at the Bible as being something you can learn and receive
a scholarly degree for studying with the goal of being a rich professor
of Christianity, you will not see the truth. You have to seek the
truth with open eyes and no vain desires. The only desire you must
have is the desire from the heart to follow the will of God.
No the original manuscripts do not exist. The original Bible was
stored in the hearts of men wanting to tell future about the will
of God generations the same as the Holy Quran. And there are many
contradictions in things that do not matter. It even contradicts
the Holy Quran, if you look at the words as a non-believer, which
I believe to be accurate and I trust that Muhammad tried his best
to deliver a message from Allah. The Quran says was Abraham was
going to sacrifice Ishmael and the Bible says Isaac. I don't care
about the name because that was not the message. I respect the message
there that says Abraham loved and respected God so much that to
do the will for God he was even willing to sacrifice his son. That
message is true and clear in both books if you are not blinded by
the desire to put someone else down.
Dr. W Graham Scroggie of the Moody Bible Institute, Chicago, a prestigious
Christian evangelical mission, says:
"Yes, the Bible is human, although some
out of zeal which is not according to knowledge, have denied this.
Those books have passed through the minds of men, are written in
the language of men, were penned by the hands of men and bear in
their style the characteristics of men...."
"It is Human, Yet Divine," W Graham Scroggie, p. 17
Another Christian scholar, Kenneth Cragg, the Anglican Bishop of
Jerusalem, says:
".Not so the New testament...There is
condensation and editing; there is choice reproduction and witness.
The Gospels have come through the mind of the church behind the
authors. They represent experience and history..."
"The Call of the Minaret," Kenneth Cragg, p 277
Not the entire Bible we have in most churches today is the words
of God. They are religious people wanted to convey a message to
other people of what they have learned are believed much as this
book you are reading now. Who knows maybe some religious scholar
some 1000 years from now will unearth my writings and say oh look
what we found. It has to be a holy book because he used the words
God in it or Allah.
For example, we read in the Bible the words of the author of "Luke":
Luke 1: 3 -4 It seemed good to me also, having
had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to
write unto thee in order, most excellent Theophilus, 4That thou
mightest know the certainty of those things, wherein thou hast been
instructed.
This was a letter to Theophilus. I know if I write a letter to some
one about Gods business that most likely it is not a time of inspiration.
He had good intentions to lead the pagans to Christianity but this
was not an inspired letter. It was letter of persuasion. It even
says that he had full understanding of it, which means that he wrote
it with his own human words and thoughts and not use those of GOD.
